beware of acoustic short circuits. exploit bass-reflex.

so, can i transpose the bass sample to use in a synth?
maybe some effects?
or use it as a carrier for my vocoder?

Effects are allowed. If you want to transpose you can, just be creative. If you take A (one) sample and generate synth from it that's not being very creative and most likely people will see that. So pretty much do whatever you want with it, just so people can tell it comes from BASS!!!.
