ra: they're programmed. If you want something on screen, you have to tell the computer how to draw it. That means either some algorithm that makes a pretty picture (like a fractal generator say), or some pretty complicated program that replaces the work of an artist. Programming an artist in 4k is hard ;)
Also, I guess 4k graphics really have to be made by a programmer, not an artist. Not many programmers make good art ;D

Personally I think we should start research into the field of "demo ufology". Just so almost everyone has no idea what we're talking about.
