Breakpoint 2009 - Everything is under control

category: parties [glöplog]
Its not meant to be impolite. Its more of a norwegian way of saying that you really dont think you're gonna get the job, but you send a application anyway, "just for fun", and see what happens.

Fair enough, just send it in. We'll see what happens from there :)

I agree that the system for bottles sucked, especially when you put your glass away and suddenly you had no glass to exchange, leaving you to steal another glass and return that instead etc.. which of course ment that if I broke my glass (on purpose?) I could easily get away with it by just taking another glass or a couple of empty bottles and render somebody else to pay for it (not cashing in).

Just put empty cases around the place, I'm sure people will be mature enough not to crash them on purpose and you'll get your bottles back. Sure you'll need to walk around changing them but that should not take any more time than the exchange system anyway, and let the bar do what they want with their glasses.

I saw few of those big glasses broken, and shattered glass on the stage anfd front row. Not exactly great for party if someone trips over a chair and lands on it.

ok, new idea. but shitloads of large plastic cups and allow to sell in these only. I'm not sure why one would desperatly need the bottles. if so, they could go to lidl and buy for themself...

So you'll end up with both stale beer and ridiculous lines before and during the demo competition. That's a no go.

Bottles are still preferable :D

I thought the system worked very well considering the sheer volume of beer and also the turnaround time at the beerstand was good.

But hey, what a great fucking party! \o/ \o/ \o/

I guess the best way is as loady said, mark the bottle with its own sticker, stamp or symbol. Maybe abit time consuming, but if you get one of those pricing machine things they got in your local supermarked is shouldnt take that long.
Probably shorter time than they used cutting out all those small orange and green notes :D

Just get some hundred long hoses and give a hose to everyone. It they're long enough there won't be any problem.
At the end of the party you charge the total amount of liquid that came out of the hose. ;)

Sticker attached to bottle / crate makes sense to me.

So I'm just listening to the recording of the Xerxes' Concert...

I wanna send huge greetings to Xerxes, Rome Knight and Bendik for awesome music.
Also lots of love to all the people who made that possible, including KB who prepared the compilation.

You all rock. :)

And of course I meant Romeo Knight. :)

yes, the sticker idea is a good one, since it makes impossible the concept of cheating by giving back "alien" bottles - yet it makes it possible to collect and turn in bottles of fellow sceners who simply don't care about the deposit (because beer is 3 times as expensive in their country anyway, or because they're simply too drunk). and by collecting those carelessly abadoned bottles, one can help the organizers and prevent broken glass, and the deposit is a nice reward for it.

thank you tomoya! personally i would also send a special greeting to psykon who did all the visuals live - he did an amazing job and there would be no concert without him.. i am so sorry for actually forgetting to give him the proper credits while on stage - it just slipped my mind as i was too busy trying to remember all the things i _had_ to do :)

so thanks a lot psykon. you rock!

they're the guys who do what you try to do, but better. and your vain attempt at deliberately thumbing-up and bumping your own prod from bp06 into the limelight just now kindof exposes your unhapiness that you havent produced a demo since then (correct me if i'm wrong please).

i have mega respect for Doom, that guy is super-human, but it leaves a sour taste in my mouth when your immature actions harm the Iris image, but hey this is the pouet playground, and i AM over reacting, so lets all play some more kids :)

Keito: You're right. It was immature and it was a bad day, so I wanted to crack a smile or two. Usually, that means using irony - well, I AM a dane, you know?

And yes, seriously, I am a bit sad that IRIS most likely won't ever produce another demo that will blow TBL out of the water, but I guess that's life.

No harm in making ironic jokes about it, though.
