First demo you ever saw/remember

Mental Hangover by Scoopex - Generations ahead.
I still remember I got a 10-pack of disks from a friend and was expecting some new games, then the demo started and I thought it was the usual cracktro, but pressing the mouse button didn't work and so I watched the whole thing still waiting for a game :)

I think it wasn't the first one I watched, but the first one I clearly remember was Heartquake by Iguana off some Assembly disc I bought really cheap. I had always admired all those Amiga cracktros on my friends computer before though...
State of the Art by Spaceballs. I'm not sure if it was the first demo I saw or not, but it is the first I can remember.
from the crack-intro side: this one by Syndicate
demo side: I think it was In Full Affect
after that came Hardwired ....

It was most likely some cracktro in or around 1986 either on the amiga or c64.
I also remember this intro from the late 80's (?) where you had an elephant or something like that running/bouncing on screen in a horizontal landscape scroller, with a bloody long scrolltext (iirc it advertised itself as the longest scroller ever). Can't remember the name, but it was one of the earlier 'demos' i saw, i think.

First demo/intro i saw was shown to me at a local computer club. A fella from Gnu Design had this cool C64 where he ran these nice graphical presentations on. Much more interesting then typing on the boring monogreen screen text only boxes the teacher was having us use.
Got a C64 myself, and prolly saw a few demos there, but it wasn't untill I got Amiga it really took on. So first demo stuff I remember is Enigma/Mental Hangover and the 1st Budbrain megademo.
Ofcause there was the intros like one on the interceptor game and the famous line vector scroller. Can't remember the names of those.

technological death and desert dream... and a lot, a lot of cracktros :)
I think it was Intro 1988 by Double Density Crew, or their "June" intro, or some other cracktro from 1988-89.
First real demo... maybe Beastie Boys' Megademo or IT's Megademo or some other demo from 1988-89.

uncle-x: Ottifanten! http://pouet.net/prod.php?which=14449 It ruled :)
I think I must have seen an intro or demo sometime between 82-84. The big brother of a classmate of mine in the 1st grade was active on the c64. Can´t remember their crew´s name though.. They moved to amiga and called themselves "masters of Gallia" and died shortly after.

State of the Art and Budbrain .. afair

this was also the point where i first came in contact with the demoscene. the demo was in the gallery of blitzbasic.com (i learned programming through b3d) and looked like a tech demo for "pure b2d" or something. when i saw it, i thought like "such stuff is possible in b2d?!?" and it basically showed a main aspect of the demoscene to me, which got me: what is actually possible with hardware (in terms of b2d i should rather say software...) if you just write proper code.
i still like this demo and those oldschool effects though i'm only 19 years old and don't even know the "true oldskool scene".

Toontown by Kolor.
I think it was one of cactus and mohoney's 64 intros. I remember it had the ocean loader 2 tune.
Crystal Dream II.
I wondered "that's all pretty nice, but where's the game?". But then I watched it again. And again..

Probably some C64 crackintro in 1985 or so. Of actual demos it's possibly Tech Tech by Sodan and Magician 42 from 1987
it seems I have to correct myself :)
http://pouet.net/prod.php?which=17555 this was released in ´84, so my estimate is way off. ´86 seems more likely, it was definitely before techtech in ´87.

I saw a lot of cracktros in C64 games, but the first real demo for me was ISI by PWP, downloaded from MBNet :)
Hm.
Supposedly it was some demo (music-collection) for ZX Spectrum 48K and its BEEPER.
Surely something by Hacker Chris but I'm not sure what it was because all his titles were somehow connected with... shit.
So considering early date, it could be
Smurf's Shit 1 (1988)
or
Smurf's Shit 2 (1988)
or maybe something on "Big Shit" series...?
Big Shit VI (1987)
He had to be some maniac of shit because I remember also some "Great Shit" demo of his, from 1988.
So that was my smelly first encounter with demos.
Ah... I feel deeply moved, to tears. Gotta go to toilet.

hyde yeah, ottifanten. Apparently i had also commented it once :-)
Serpent: i'd totally forgotten the tech-tech demo. Guess that one now has to be my earliest demo memory now :D
I guess I must have seen a fair bit of c64 stuff before that too, as I remember discussing with a friend who was into coding how to do dycp scrollers. I think he wanted to try and write a cracktro, but he never actually did it :)

very demo-ish cracktros as early as 1993-1994 on my zx spectrum, they did VOICE SYNTHESIS in Basic, god knows how,
first demo contact after that was debris in 2007 though :/, too busy with pc video games
