Put simply, nobody does The Prodigy like The Prodigy
Actually, Hyper does "The Prodigy" better than The Prodigy. For me, the album "Suicide Tuesday" was what "Always outnumbered, never outgunned" was supposed to be. Check out "Replica" for example.
Apparently, Last.fm's ad-logic agrees:
last.fm-s ad-logic shows the prodigy everywhere, fyi :) they dont have THAT much content :)
Hyper is good, but their style resembles the prodigy as much as it resembles the chemical brothers, fatboy etc. And the going consensus that I agree to was that "..never outgunned" was a Liam howlett record, and not a the prodigy record.
The phrace about nobody does prodigy like the prodigy was from clash magasines rave review of invaders must die btw.
Listened the album a bunch of times. Didn't got stuck. A shame.
Thanks to gloom for recommending "Suicide Tuesday". These were 10 bucks well spent :)
Just for the record: I don't like "Invaders Must Die", too, but maybe I'll start to like it if I hear it more often. At least, this worked for half of the tracks of "In Silico" (the other half was instant <3).

KeyJ: Be sure to get "We Control" (previous album) as well - it's great stuff too. :)
@gloom: Nothing to do with this style of music (it's lofi+dubstep), but I'm quite enjoying this one:

Listener cat is not amused.

Real Prodigy were those from Experience (love that original Rave sound, Charly and Your Love are monsters) and especially Music For Te Jilted Generation's one.
MFTJG is one of the fevouritre album of my entire life....youn can FEEL the Cyberpunk, mainframe, old X25 days.

I kinda liked the album. it's not as good as their older stuff, but still okay.
Take Me To The Hospital is my favorite, so far.

So many good tunes on this album, when compared to "Always Outnumbered - Never Outgunned"...
Been listening intensely for a couple of days now (even bought the album, so now my MP3s are no longer illegal, woohoo) and I just gotta say that I find The Prodigy has much more edge on this album than heard in a looong time - and I don't think you can compare Hyper to The Prodigy - their music expressions are just too far from each other.
