The Prodigy - Invaders Must Die [album]
category: general [glöplog]
When the new album was annonced, I was really looking forward to it. Then the online-single "Invaders Must Die" was released and I was disappointed. Then the single "Omen" was released and I went back to "Wow, ok, this will rule". So, I bought the album on iTunes last night and I have listened to it a few times. On one hand it's cool to get that 1997-feeling, but on the other hand, about half of the album seems like fillers (especially the pointless "Omen (Reprise)"-track). Favourite tracks: "Take Me To The Hospital", "Thunder", "Colours" and "Stand Up".
BAN!
Not demoscene related.

Go make an 1997-themed rave album about it.
invaders must die is pretty much the only recent album I was looking forward to. Brings me back memories of fat of the land. Take me to the hospital best track.
I really doubt we want the new comers to think the demoscene is about shitty albums from groups that should have stopped making music 10 years ago.
insert gargaj's banhammer
Rob: fine, that's your opinion, however I've enjoyed several of their tracks during the last 10 years.

Puryx: Your music is much nicer :)
Rob: it's called diversity ;)
Puryx: I listen to a lot of music.. most of it pretty obscure :)
But it makes me kind off sad if people think this is the only record to come out in 2009 to be worth waiting for... There is more in the world then usual commercial crap. And I have seen the prodigy once live and it sucked so much...

Sufjan Stevens is mostly pretentious.
Do I listen to sufjan stevens?
Actually, I think it's a quite good album. Was a little disappointed with the last one, but on this album they're more or less back to basics, but with modern arrangements and sounds.
But hey, it's The Prodigy. They've drowned in their own success...

@Pinkpop? Yes that sucked... rhinoceros cock, to be precise.
No, it was at lowlands 2001... At that time I was quite a fan, btw :)
I'm still a fan of sorts... Just won't ever spend money to see 'em live again ;)
Excellent album, I've been playing it non stop for the past three days \o/
havoc: We went to see them in Oslo at the last album tour. It was a pitiful experience indeed.
