There's a fair amount of 2d stuff done nowadays, much more than a few years ago, for instance. It's just done in a shader.

if you define 2d effects by effects done in 2d space there is alot, postprocessing, screenspace effects etc. :)

Most if not all effects on computer graphics are 2D.

gloom: Like I said, I will. But I find it somewhat sad that almost everyone is focusing on 3D mainly. There's a lot of sick stuff that can be done with 2D. :)

Note, there's nothing wrong with 3D at all. I would just like to see more freaky and ingenious 2D stuff. :)
