vengaboys = turning away ppl again from demoscene,so i hope your final_edit will have some real demoscene-music in it :)
^^ commenting the RVscene-Shortie :)
question: is RVScene just a brass farthing to that traditional_NA_Scene_Meeting ? i guess not,as it felt a way more like real_demoscene already in those few minutes of video :)
" so,you decided to get into booze ? "

There -are- some greeble viruses... but 3ds is a bit larger than 4k and has no audio system : D

Please, if somebody is hesitating to evaluate the videos done by Trixter, make it happen :-) I'm dying to see the show!
Temis is looking them over and then they'll go to demoscene.tv!

I promised nVidia and Demoscene.tv that they could have a six-month exclusive license to the edited footage, just so that there is no "bad blood" regarding rights and usage
I'm still curious about this one. Like what benefit does Demoscene.tv get by having such an exclusive license ?
Those "marketing" bits don't fit with end user immediate wishes like: "oh great I'm going to download it and watch it in the train/plane !"
it's probably to get revenue from the countless advertisement banners that are absent from the demoscene.tv website.
Actually it comes from just being a good sport. For example, just as I could always say "screw you, I own copyright on all footage I shot and can do whatever I want with it, I'm releasing it all today", they could also have said at the time "no, you're not allowed to shoot video in here". So hey, we both benefit.
All of the footage will have a CC license six months after demoscene.tv gets it, and it will be available in HD.

So... what exactly are we waiting for? Or is it just the old DTV problem aka "they're not the fastest"? And when will their Realtime Generation report be released?
dtv could have said "no, you're not allowed to shoot video in here" ?
how come ? because of their exclusive coverage deal at nvscene ?
which raises the same interrogation in the end, "exclusivity what for ?"

kb_: The footage needs to be reviewed before release, simply because it was shot on assignment by a commercial entity.
This buying into the corporate mindset is all kind of masturbatory at this point.
bump
*fear*
so hum?
So temis cleared the footage and I'm in the process of submitting it to demoscene.tv. I'll be doing that all this weekend.
Since nVision was all that, is there any external report on nvscene in particular, like talking about demos and stuff?
Yeah, you can read me "Captians logish" party report in the lastest issue of Hugi. Will be my last article for them too for the next while.
Why will it be the last article for them in a while?
@ Trixter
That is good news. :)
That is good news. :)
trixter: you haven't been reading the reviews, have you?
I guess not. I skimmed the articles, but I guess I haven't found the one people are talking about. Let me check again...
...(back) Oh my, WTF was that racist article doing in Hugi?? Hugi is a demoscene mag, and that article should have been rejected by the editor.

In other news, demoscene.tv has Bonzaj's and Chaos' seminar talks from NVScene 2008. I'm still rendering and uploading; hopefully they'll all be up there in a week from today.
