Unfortunately not. We have unprotected sex with our sisters. It's the only thing that we can think of doing after drinking a cup of tea. :)

On a sidenote though, I think I know who you're talking about. I haven't heard or seen any activity from them for a long, long time. I'm guessing they've quit the scene or they go under a different alias now.

I'm impressed. Not keen on the module, but I guess it suited the demo. There was some nice effects and some cutesy graphics.

I'm 40 minutes away from Glasgow. It would be nice to see a small party happen down this way in the near future. Perhaps a small meet could be arranged somewhere down the line.

I always figured the Scotts were too busy throwing beer bottles at eachother and discussing 'fitba' to partake in the demoscene ;)

the Scotts. As in, Scott Baio and Scott Storch.

Yes, Scottish people prefer to be called 'Scotch'. Experiment with the phrase in the Gorbals on a Saturday night.

I've never been called Scotch, or been asked to be called Scotch.

back in the day, there were sceners in Cork; and I'm not sure but I think someone or other in Nerve Axis was Irish as well.

Vyper/Skid Row was Scottish. Still is, actually. And at some point I need to go meet his ass in Glasgow.

And yes my mother's side is mainly Irish/Scottish/English/Austrian. So I'm counting myself.
Back in the mid-90s, The United Minds were as Scottish as deep-fried doner kebabs - they showed up at the last raww.orgy too. I think they've pretty much all moved to Bristol now though.

I always wondered if there was ever an Irish demoscene!
I'm Irish, living in Dublin, fluent in Irish etc, no quarter measures here ;)
I'm at AltParty 2008 at the moment, my third. Sorry to resurrect an old thread, but was just glad to find it. I suppose I should go to the next SunDown if there is one...
Were there ever any parties in Ireland?

There was one 21 year old lad from Ireland at AltParty 2007, we were practicing asking for makkarat from the Finnish folke in Finnish. I can't recall his handle nor his name, but I was quite surprised when I met him (I thought there was no such thing as the Irish scene). He lives in the Republic but his parents live in the Kingdom, as far as I remember. Is it possibly you Johnl?

I'm so disappointed not being considered as a part of the female demoscener.
Can i be an irish demoscener?
I am an IRIS demoscener. Does that count?

It certainly does.
Our website is named www.irishq.dk - for those of you, who think that means "IRIS Headquarters", sorry - it means "IRISH Quality". Don't let the .dk domain fool you. Or, please do. ;)

Oh, and check this one out, too.
johnl: remember, you have a few days to get a real handle or we come up with one FOR you.

Decipher: yes. It's him.
it took me a while to figure out what 'IrishQ.de' was supposed to be when I first saw it :D
