OpenGL programmer + 3D algorithms programmer, OSLO Norway
category: general [glöplog]
Would you like to work in one of the worlds leading 3D visualization companies?
Centrally located near Aker Brygge (Oslo, Norway) with solid clients world-wide, Hue has established itself as a real challenger in the 3D industry. We have continuously turned out new and innovative products on the market and we are now looking for exceptionally bright and experienced candidates with strong problem-solving skills to help us take existing and new products to the next level.
All positions require very good knowledge of and extensive experience with:
-C++
-All general programming techniques (data structures, algorithms, design patterns)
-English (written/spoken)
While relevant education is desirable, lack of such can be compensated by proven experience. Also, additional experience (e.g with other programming languages/operating systems) is a plus.
3D Algorithm development:
Knowledge/experience:
-Excellent understanding of math in general and geometry in particular
-Thorough understanding of and experience with all general computational geometry algorithms and data structures.
Work:
-Implement computational geometry library for large triangulated meshes and other primitives
-Work as part of an experienced team.
OpenGL developer:
As previous, but also:
- Hands-on experience with advanced OpenGL, incl fragment/vertex shader programming, view dependent geometry, real time topology generation/optimization
Work:
-Implement high polycount dynamic real time rendering with user real time configurable rendering pipeline.
NOTE: Extensive DirectX competency may compensate for lack of OpenGL experience

Except, you know, if your idea of mesh reduction is DXReduceMeshForMePlease()

anyone in for buzzword bingo ?
hue-coders don't drink ordinary coffee - hue got illy.
LoneStarr: You may be far more successful recruiting sceners if you attend Kindergarden. The signal-to-noise ratio here at Pouet is ... well you can see already.

I will attend Kindergarden this year.
suddenly, Phil Anselmo is in my head saying:
fucking AWESOME!
fucking AWESOME!
auld, he said "high polycount"; DXReduceMeshForMePlease() will certainly and instantly crash before reading the first 1% of the dataset :)
iq, high polycount = 2 million triangles of course ;D
hahahaha ;) sure, sure
LoneStarr: Looking forward to seeing you at KG
Looking forward to be there. Haven't been to any party since Assembly 2002. And No, not 2 million triangles..
Nice to see you choose our party to visit Paul, and good look headhunting :)
LoneStarr: Just don't expect KG to top the last norwegian party you visited ;)
What? NO CAKE at KG?
do you ever regret putting a hat on that girl?
the cake is... well, you know.
It's a cake, that's all you can really say.
