Ok, rec was great. I had since a long to be scared so much especially near the end. And those spanish people screaming and talking la puta when there is chaos, the camera views, it looked so real.
What I need now is to suggest me the most scariest movies you know :P

This is probably very scary.
Oh my god, cube is THE movie to watch to shit bricks!
Wall-E is THE movie to watch to shit bricks!
rottweiler is damn scary
It's almost there.....
Cube is shit, don't watch it, don't watch Cube 2, Cube 0 or any other movie affiliated with it. They're all shit.
The Saw movies are nicely disgusting, though not really scary. Event Horizon is a good scare and maybe bot 28 movies (28 days later, 28 weeks later).

What about The Shining.
Movies like Saw and 28 days later are more funny and boring than scary, suggestion works much better, imho.

yeah, i hated that about event horizon. i was all up for a science fiction movie, and then all of a sudden it's all scary and stuff!!
the first Saw movie was good, but then they just went into cheap gore combined with rube goldberg death sequences - in which you cant really outdo Final Destination
I'm a secret fan of horror films, but I'm more into the creepy and tense type than the obvious and gory type. [Rec] was indeed excellent and very tense.
I recently watched Mirrors, with Kiefer Sutherland, which was very cool and worth looking out for. It's a bit over the top in parts, but the atmosphere is very eerie and really put me on edge.
Death Tunnel is another film worth watching. The atmosphere is kinda ruined by lots of flashbacks, intervals and interruptions, but the visuals are incredible and it has some very creepy moments.
Personally, I find a lot of redneck based films very scary too, like Hills Have Eyes, House of 1000 Corpses and Wrong Turn (avoid the sequels at all cost!)
But one of the scariest movies of all time has to be Jacob's Ladder. It's quite old now, but if you haven't seen it, I highly recommend it. It's even got a great plot and quality acting, which is quite rare for horror movies.

Do not watch any Saw movies. They will only please you if you're into masochism. I'm a fan of many horror movies but Saw, no thanks.
I quite like the plot and the twists in the Saw films, but think they would be much better if the violence was suggested rather than shown in full detail. Same goes for Hostel and Devil's Rejects - real scary ideas, but too focused on cheap shock tactics.
In my opinion, the best horror films and thrillers focus more on the psychology.

jacob's ladder is awesome.

Nice thread. I watch quite alot horror and stuff.
Well, Saw is a lot about psychology, and it's a psychology I'd like not to be aquinted with.
the first Saw was about psychology - the other episodes were about The Incredible Machine covered with blood
and those fucking gratuitous twist endings, god, the first part was so subtle it was disturbing, hell even the second one was reasonable apart from the part where it fell into the "we all know who dies next, we just wonder when and HOW"-horror movie cliche-hell, but the third part was so fucking ridiculous considering contrived plot twists that i expected Jigsaw to go "I am your father" any time
