Hanging out after NVScene?
category: general [glöplog]
who do you want to hang, out after NVScene?
havoc, what do you mean? you're dutch and you posted a bridge from your country (germany).
skrebbel, i haven't seen you eating esrom instead of gouda, or wearing viking helmets, or driving a saab... so far... so i would say your country is still holland (but feel free to correct if i'm wrong, and i'll be happy to call you bjorn from now on ;))
Hey j-ar! I'm not attending NVScene (shame on me!) but I'll be 'hanging around' in SF around that time as well. Let's have a demoscene meeting in no-demoscene-country!
what? beers and stuff? i hate you guys!
Count me in, my partycoding:partydrinking ratio is terribly low.
Here's a bridge from Canada. it fell down because the architect wasn't making sure they didn't cheap out on materials and lengths, and fueled an urban legend that all engineers' iron rings are made from the bridge.
They're not.

havoc, det er selvfølgelig nemt for dig at sige, men når jeg spiser mit smørrebrød om morgenen glemmer jeg sommetider hvordan man staver "hagelslag".
skrebbel: that's spelled "kamelåså", you daft dutchman
gloom: schsh! - actually Skrebbel wrote very good danish above :)
gloom has a point though :)
shiva: is there something you want to tell us? :)
so it seems like some guys are in for it..
gloom & co.: any suggestions for must-have-visited bars, diners, etc.?
when I visited SF last year there were some nice bars around union square, but I suspect there are better places to go?
btw. where are the .debris bridges? :)
tobi: viva colonia!

sf seemed pretty spread out - like you had to cab it around from area to area to get to a series of good places in a night. yea, we kindof stuck around union square too - a couple of pub-style places and some swanky hotel bars and a couple of big clubs around there.
there's some decent ex-hippie bars down on haight street though - a load of them in a row down the street, was good for a crawl. there's more dive/biker places in mission, and apparently there's a load of bars in the bay that we didnt get to.

hey smash, was nice to meet you (very briefly) there at GDC2007 (the Peter Molyneux presentation, you were there with statix, sadly I didn't manage to talk to you properly :( )
jar: yea, i met a few sceners there but missed a load of others i think. :) have to arrange things better next time.

On the 101 towards San Jose :)
There is this nice place in SF, you guys should give it a try after Nvscene, it's on the famous Hyde street.
Öresundsbron, between Denmark and Sweden
I cannot believe nobody did it... the scene is dying?
Since we're all posting pics of bridges...
