Tags would be a great feature, if used properly. I truly support introducing them to Pouet.. I've had enough hard time finding answers to questions like "what was that Amiga demo with green penises as equalizers" :)

A better rating system, which allows the user to score different aspects of a demo with 0 to 5 points.

Priceless. Btw, listening to "shit", "crap" or "sucks" tag radio on last.fm is sometimes rather fun, for short periods of time at least. However, those tags rarely show up on band tag clouds, which leads me to believe that there is some form of moderating happening.

i thought it was working in a similar way to the already existent popularity calculation. it depends on the number of voters and their weights splitted to the tags and there's a threshold calculated depending on the number of taggers if a tag's weight happens to exceed the threshold then it's displayed.
