HOW DARE YOU POST REAL AND/OR PHOTOSHOPPED PICTURES OF THINGS HAPPENING ON THIS PLANET THAT I AM NOT WILLED TO ACCEPT IN MY REALITY?!?! YOU SUCK!!1
red-: 2 year old girl children being rapped by their fathers happens on this planet too. does that mean we should see pictures of that, on a site like pouet? I don't think so.
The reason pictures of 2 year old girls being raped by their fathers aren't posted on here is that some people might enjoy it.
i doubt that very much. no more than would enjoy seeing mutilated and dead 2 year olds.
it's just crossing the line, ok.

Well, I think there is much more to it than that. In the end, these things have to be acknowledged before they can be dealt with. Personally, I'd rather know than not know, even if it makes me angry or scared... but then, I understand your position too. I guess it's easier for all of us to live in relative ignorance if it means we're not confronted with questions we don't have the answers to.. and I'll stop. I'm starting to sound like Jerry Springer.
Anyway, random image.
Anyway, random image.
if you dont like seeing harmed human beings you should protest war and all those that advocate it. i dont LIKE seeing those images, but those images are a harsh (and necessary) reminder of what is happening in the world today to people less fortunate than us.
rephaim: if we would see pictures of such an incident here, i'm pretty sure the user who posted it would get a visit from a party-escort in no time.
there's a difference between individuals sexually abusing kids, and children getting killed by the effects of war. war doesnt happen because some insane freaked out individual felt the urge to do so. war happens because of "greater" interests, and there's a lot of money involved with it, and it happens everyday.
yet i agree, the CP argument is great for internet-censorship. it's kinda outdated though, copyright laws are much better for that because there's a lot of money involved, too. and money makes the world go round, oh boy. do you really think the internet will be as free and independant as it is today in 10 years?
but hey, it's okay to close your eyes and enjoy the happy colourful world you live in, consider the problems you have as important, and enjoy the filtered media you get on tv. but don't even bother watching those pesky news shows. it's a good thing it's only happening on tv, tho, so if you accidentally watch something about the ongoing inhumanity happening on this planet, you can be glad you only saw it on TV, like this movie with that lots of killing and stuff(boy was that awesome!). i can understand that you don't want to see a real shocking picture of the cruelty that's going on in this world. it just doesnt fit into your perception of reality. but that's ok, really.
back on topic: no, maybe we shouldnt see such pictures here on pouet. maybe we should have a huge discussion about this whole incident simply because nobody likes to see such fucked up pictures and we cant get over it that we saw them anyway. maybe we need moderation and filtering. maybe the demoscene is getting old and conservative.

red- has leading
hahahaha
alienus: yeh, well lets just hope some people do acknowledged the problem when they see these images and don't just think: "lol, dead babies!"
red-: please, you are so far off the mark. i can count the number of Hollywood movies I've see in the last 10 years on one hand. I'm not living in a mainstream media bubble. I get my world view & news from multiple alternative sources. So I have seen images 10x more horrific than what Proteque has posted, but I see them in an appropriate context. not just: "here...look at these babies that got slaughtered in some Muslim country!! lol!!"

It's nothing to do with ignorance, it's about how these matters are trivialized by being posted on lighthearted forums by people who will never have a clue how it feels to be in that situation.

hmmh.. in the above pictures hitler looks like he's actually thinking about something. bush, on the other hand, has a totally empty gaze.
Whereas Napoleon just has a tummyache and a bad posture
