puryx, youre fun to troll thats what the skin bit is about. I think youre the only one, sans a sensitive french game developer, to take my trolling the least bit serious. But im not just about the trolling and i have participated to the scene even in recent times, and i intend to continue that, and yeah we will meet at a demoparty soon enough, they just have a tendency to fall on dates where im up for other stuff. its been purely bad luck and not unwillingness that has kept me from going to 3 breakpoints in a row :[

and i will bet you that partys are exactly the same they always was, otherwise i doubt so many of the old sceners would still be going ;)

Nah, my salmiakki still relies on the Turkisk Peber you can get in Germany, the finnish stuff is somewhat better. But the general idea is good ;)

i bet kb used a mocap and gave a shitahedron to a handicapped monkey and re-simulated the movement of the shitahedron afterwards... totally lame, i fell in love as a NOT-OLDSKOOLER.

docd:

It wasn't my intention to "glorify" paid security or disregard your work or the work of other BP organizers who've handled such situations a dozens of times. You've got that totally wrong. It's my personal perspective, and this pretty much goes like this: As long as misbehaviour gets handled by our own team, I usually won't know and be able to continue by main organizer work. If paid security needs to be called (or the police), then things become official, I get interrupted from other important tasks, and my fun gets spoiled, and my personal stress level rises (yes, the same has happened with Aenima, without paid security being involved). View it as "things need to be escalated up to the main organizers level". And yes, during the last years this has in >50% of the cases be caused by people that I take the right to call "ghettosceners". I'm sorry if that upsets you, but that's my personal experience and I can't change it just because that would make you feel better.

kb and I have made some very valid points that you chose to completely ignore. Things won't change just because you refuse to acknowledge them.

Sir/Fishwave: Seriously, "misunderstandings"? When I tried to tell you guys not to use the alarm siren of your megaphone on the parking lot because it will make the police show up in no-time and get us into trouble, your reaction has been to put that fucking megaphone directly onto my ear and starting the alarm sirene. When I then called the security you then did all you could do not to cooperate, making the whole issue run for over half an hour. You call that a misunderstanding? Well, tell you what: You bunch of useless Scoopex lamers spoiled the whole evening for me and made sure that the only few hours of Breakpoint where I usually have time to relax got pretty unrelaxing. So go fuck yourself with your "misunderstanding" and don't show up at Breakpoint again. (Oh, and I guess the Scoopex-Shirts must have been photoshopped onto the pictures that got taken of you guys?)

eeblis: Probably I've missed to state what I think "active" sceners are. Being active doesn't mean that one is working on productions. Being active to me means to contribute to the community in one form or another, and there are lots of ways to do that. Being a party organizer, running a scene website or service or contributing to the community in whatever form to me also is "active".

cool... then i'm very active in fact, that i every day create logos and music for groups all around the world :) *yippi*
