Greetings sceners

It saddens me to tell you that Lemmus - our dear friend and fellow scener - is no longer with us.

Lemmus decided last week to end his own life, to a great shock for his family and friends. We will all remember him as a creative, energetic and inspiring person.

In the scene, Lemmus is probably best known for the modelling and design of Atrium - the winning 4k intro for this year's Breakpoint.

This was a real shock to me.

I have been working together with Lemmus on the last two major 4k projects, and Lemmus was very enthusiastic and intelligent around both projects. Especially Atrium would not have been the same without his amazing work.

Goodbye Lemmus and may you find peace and rest whereever you are now.

while i dont think we talked for more than two sentences (if ever), i remember observing him during the breakpoint 4k compo, how he tapped his feet and flailed in the air during intros and was just... so beautifully naturally excited about it, so inspiring...

i'll miss him :(

Dear Rune

It has been less than a year since we really got to know each other at assembly 07. Although our time together has been much too short, I feel that our friendship has evolved fast.

Working frantically together on Atrium during my one-week stay at your place is, and forever will be, one of my fondest memories from the demoscene, and of you.

I will always remember you by your genuinely excited expression when listening to music, watching an intro competition or just telling an exciting story.

You are the most warm, energetic and passionate person I know. You will be missed.

Oh man, that's extremely sad news, Aske :-(. I remember Lemmus from several parties over the years, and feel quite sad hearing this.
