This really sucks... I have favourited one of the "timbaland rips" videos on youtube, so youtube keeps saying "Recommended for you:" and lists a bunch of videos of shitty timbaland songs.

Sounds very sidish to me. The youtube compression is probably squashig the sound, but I got this song on mp3, and it's definitely sid sounds.

Ah, alright - still, it's just a sequence of chords and could be anything. Suits the tune - and could it be that Timbaland has started putting SID sounds into his tunes, because it's just a sound of the era? Do you really think that the man copies everything he does? If i remember correctly timbaland already made a (original) sidtune for someone.. might be 50 cent. Not that i've heard it or want to.

Oh, btw, even Ratatat! integrated arpeggio sounding synths on their new album (which is awesome btw) so I guess it's just very hip and in :)
