The 2nd one by drfreak339 is really nice!
i like this contest :D
so here is a new logo and since im already on the C&C95 trip, heres an apc:
exactly 256b, but i think the border took pretty much bytes...

my statement still stands. p01 is the winner of this compo.
Oh! I didn't get the nod soldier. :\
Your last one takes 231b in GIF. I also had a hard time figuring the shape with the high contrast on the vehicle and the 45° darker area on the left - bottom left.

the nod soldier was just for fun done in some seconds, dont mind him :D
the darker area: ive got a version with one more color and less contrast, too, but it takes like 8 or 10b more in png and MUCH more in gif
oh and: i also think that p01 makes the best logos and should win ;)

Meh i can get your 1st PNG(243b) one down to 221 bytes, post the one that's 8 or 10b more here and i'll get it to well under 256b for ya ;p
Actually well under 256b may be a bit of an exhageration ;p it'll be close though i guess, depends on the complexity of the image. But in general you can get smaller sizes out of GIF at this size and bit depth but you may need to use special tools to optimise them.
Firefox 3 killed pixel graphics.
Have you tried reducing the palette (yeah I know there's no palette beyond 8-bit pics)? You can try saving in 2 or 3-bit depth instead of using 24-bit pics. That worked for my logo, at least.
my gifs get bigger, so i use png
and with a palette it would be too big, i think (eg if i add a mask color, i have 257b^^). also i think png has to save grayscale in 8bit...
oh and here is a redo of the 243b logo. is this the first with and alpha-layer in this thread btw?

So where's the animations?
4 frame animation, 2 colors, 221 bytes:

I guess I missed the blinking logo. :)
