Considering he's the owner of said location and has basicially decided on impulse that all previous agreements (not to mention the fact that Outline actually had their own outdoor license for the acts) were magically void, it's more a question of whether it's a great idea if Outline comes back in the first place.

It's a great location, but it smarts to have to cram your live acts into a hall just because the proprietor has a credibility problem. A repeat act of said situation is not on our list.

Shifter has a quite valid point there. I still remember OL06 where they forbid gwem again so he was reduced to a dj set, and the prize giving ceremony where they turned the power off and candles and lighters were used :/

just want to underline what shifter said. the place is real nice, but the owner pulled our leg so bad that it still hurts; you cannot do business when there's no trust relationship at all, so something special will have to happen for outline to get back there. we don't want to have to contractify every single petty detail in order to get a demoparty going. that said, naturally, nothing is certain at all. except that outline 2009 will be, naturally!

there were some issues with the owner of te boomsgoed indeed. it's nothing too terrible in the sense that they wouldn't want us back, but the question we are asking ourselves is if *we* want to go back there at all. in fact, the process to find a more suitable location for our purposes has already started. i am hoping to be able to announce outline 2009 in the foreseeable future.

for completeness' sake- i decided to temporarily quit my position as main orgo of outline due to health reasons. i might get back on track some time in the future, but certainly not this year.

skrebbel is currently looking at the possibility of organizing an alternative party in holland in 2009, but please do allow him some time to properly review the possibilities for such a venture... it's quite a big project, and he's been on the job for only about two weeks now. there's simply no way to put a decent party together in such a short time. between us, we have agreed to evaluate the options come the end of february. so please do not expect any definitive announcements before that time. and please do not be disappointed if it takes a bit longer, either...

reminds me.. my mum hinted me some potential locations, i should check into them :)

skrebbel organizing an atari party?

multiplatform, with typically a lot of atari dudes showing up, which is cool cause they're cool and so are the demos they bring. i recommend everyone trying it out; yeti, as you know youself, the atmosphere is pretty unique among demopatries.
