New to Pouet...
category: general [glöplog]
Hey guys
...All the way from Australia here, been following the "scene" for some years now thanks to Pouet...thought it was about time I said Hi.
Hopefully one day I can make it over for BreakPoint (maybe '09?) to meet some of you.
I'm not active in any group as such, just an enthusiastic observer! : )
Keep up all the good work!

Welcome :)
Greetings, Melbournite -- Don't let that robots scare ya :)
Maali: Yeah, and they are probably right...but hey, it only happens once a year and if what I saw on the BP08 streams a few weeks back is anything to go by, then I think it'd be worth every penny. Was a great show...
Melbournite: Welcome! Now you can start the australian scene! :D
thats great. my second post. toll
absorbing pouet and the scene from germany since 2000.
so here's the obligatory "hello pouet hello scene" post.

Queensland Australia FTW!= so laid back nothing gets done :)
Start the Aussie scene? But there has been an Oz demoscene since the 1990s.
rc55: dude, before you go there, best have as many parties as they Melbourne guys have had. (2 in the past year. You? ONE. They got you beat AND they have to pay waaaaay more than 1 quid to go to BP on the plane.)
Hell, the US has _TWO_ parties this year, the UK: ONE party.
Which leads us to the question: Can we start counting pub meats? (:

Successful applicants must have an in depth knowledge of modern graphics techniques and experience writing vertex, geometry and fragment shaders. Games industry experience is not necessarily required. You must have particularly strong C++ and software design skills, and a history of working in medium to large team environments.
