BeatEd - a simple drum machine for S60

category: general [glöplog]

I just released a piece of free mobile software, check it out if you like.. It is a simple drum machine application for S60 3rd edition mobile phones. The big idea behind this application was that I bought a guitar and couldn't find any decent drum machine or metronome application for my mobile so I had to do it by myself. After it got too good, I had to make it even better for the public release, hehe.. :)

Aha, I'm just about to order an N95 and this was one of my planned projects. Guess I'll have to do something competitive now... :)
parapete - a tracker maybe?

GaJiN: we'll see!

Anyhow, it looks like good fun in the vid. I can't wait to have a play with it.
Heh. I hate my N95 and was going to go back to sony, but all these cool things keep coming out for S60. Shame really, as i think the N95 is a big stinking pile of shit.

Don't give them ideas. It's not even a demotool.

Thanks, works lika a charm on my Nokia 5500 so now I have something to annoy my co-workers with tomorrow! :)

ekoli, that's good news. I think 5500 was the last screen layout I hadn't tested BeatEd on. It has that perfectly square 1:1 screen.. Nice to hear that it works on that too.

Or do it during a train ride, I'm sure you're fellow passengers will thank you for it :-)

Heh... Nice, although what I really want to see is a tracker with sample generation for some sort of portable platform. I usually write music in my head when I get bored and I can never remember it long enough to get it into anything.

And now I want an S60.

meebzork: missing a sample editor in milkytracker?
added on the 2008-04-24 04:01:20 by psenough psenough
Yeah meebzork, Milkytracker for Windows Mobile has for quite a while had sine, tri, saw, pulse and noise generators as well as mix-paste, rendering multichan patterns to sample slots and 3/10 band EQ etc. How hard did you look? :)

Damn, I'm an idiot. I meant something like Nitrotracker (I don't have any of that kind of mobile device, only consoles, and I don't know why I have those) with sample generation although now that I think of it I'm too lazy to put anything on anything anyway and I really have no musical skill so it really doesn't matter.

We are still lacking a C64 SID drum kit. I someone has too much time and/or good SID drum samples on his harddrive I would be very pleased to have a sample kit of those! See the sample kit info:
