I was chatting with a friend a while ago about this and totally bullshitted my idea. Funny thing is, this guy prolly has phd's and shit. I have nothing like that yet I thought of it myself using all the pricipals mentioned.
Man am I on a downer.

Enjoy the small things in life. Not everyone is blessed with the gift to enjoy demo's...
:)
That's an interesting subject, although I have a headache and can't write more atm.
If it wasn't for oil companies we would have had this technology in our homes decades ago.
When has that ever stoped you, dood.
I would prolly be on a downer, too, had I wasted time reading that huge amount of text.

Which means that the only difference between him and you is that he took the effort to work for a degree and you're sitting at home complaining on an unrelated forum. Which, naturally, perfectly matches the situation that you both thought of it yet you're not the one whose name is on that patent.
And finally, filing a patent doesn't mean you win anything. In most cases, it'll just cost you money and hassle and that it.
I guess losing a mom or dying of hunger is different, but in your case, life sucks just about as much as you let it.
yeah a patent is costy, you need to bring a whole business/enterprise project in to realize a concept, not just the wonderful idea in your brain.
Steve Wozniak would have done nothing without Steve Jobs :p
