nosfe: word! - that's exactly the same approach I have. Earplugs are one of the things I check 10 times before I leave for Breakpoint :)

some people snore _very_ loud, that was more a wake-up-factor for me than the scheisseshouter :)

i´m a coder myself so i know how hard it is with loud ppl around you ;)
at least i managed to stay outside the hall with my loudness for the most of the rest of the party.!

I think (cause I was drunk and it was too late/early) that I saw some sort of public apology on stage (it must have been sunday night) given to one of the lads from the turkish scene (I don't recall the name). The guy who apologised on the microphone said something like "Sorry for what I did I was drunk" and then shook hands.

Navis: It was on Sunday morning. The whole ceremony was kinda organized :)

Pro and cons with this years breakpoint
Pros:
[+] The mud. Got a lot more coding done than usual!
[+] No smoking on the main floor. HUGE improvement for my experience and people obayed it pretty good!
[+] Bigger bus between the hotel and the location, very nice, but I don't know if they cancelled or came too early on some days because twice I missed the bus in the mornings but I think I was in perfect time?
[+] Some interesting seminars, from sceners to sceners. Love that stuff.
[+] Seemed to be more people at the party this year
[+] The döner was better than ever :-)

[~] We booked at starkenberger, but they overbooked, so we had to stay at krone, but everything was ok, but more FUI, this happened. And the hotel dude looked like Manuel in faulty towers :-D
[~] 80% of the speaker volume would be enough, but still I don't complain about this because I can bring better headphones for when I don't wanna listen to the music compos :D

[-] The mud. Lot less social beer in the garden from previous years, but I think it will be better next year :-)
[-] People reserving places for people not there already.. sure you handled it okayish, but next year you could just pick up the papers again, newcomers to the party don't know that there is no reserval system to care about.

[-] It seems there were a lot more tention in the air this time around, maybe should be careful next year so there will be no fights? Throw people that are too drunk out a bit earlier? I really don't have answers.

just want to say thanks to the organizers for this great party, it was my first breakpoint and it lived up to all expectations and more, i will surely return next year, if not just to meet all those cool folks i missed this year, thanks :)

is a recording of wayfinder's seminar available anywhere? or of the opening ceremony? I missed both on the live stream and they are not available on the bp mirrors, are they?
