There's no hypocrisy. The topic of a discussion says nothing about it being a trolling thread or not. I could start a "windows demos suck" discussion, and it would be ontopic, but it would also be trolling.

Face it. Most people here are men. This is probably the forum with most men I post too, and all from different countries and places with different shaving cultures.
And it's not like most people is going offtopic!

So, most of you are saying that a machine is useless. Hum... Machines looks so cool and useful on tv. But they're so expensive (a good machine is >€200). Shaving is probably just a matter of using the right foam and gel.

No, we just like xernobyl better than you. You seem to have missed a point somewhere when accusing *people* on a *forum* of subjectivity or hypocrisy. Of course we're subjective hypocrites, we're people. And we think that you're a jerk and that xernobyl is a generally nice guy who just has a little too much time and a little too few hobbies.

xernobyl: ok, serious answer here: I started out with a machine, but one day I dropped and it broke. Luckily gillete had sent me a free set on my 18th birthday (get them when they're young ;-) so I decided to give it a try and was shocked, because it was so much better then a machine. So my answer: stick with the blades.

Disclaimer: that was 10-15 years ago and I have no idea how good today's machines are.

And now ontopic: I noticed some shavers (like the Braun 360) have led displays these days, so who makes the first demo on a shaver? :-)
