Breakpoint 2008 - very probably March 21-24, 2008 in Bingen, Germany...
category: general [glöplog]
Without even being 100% certain of this date, Smash and I have already bought our tickets from London Stanstead to Frankfurt (The 12:20 flight on Friday and 18:40 back on Sunday [edit: he meant Monday] on Ryanair if you're interested... and it's only around £40 all in!).
Well, if it fails, we'll run our own party in the car park, and Truck would probably turn up just because he can, but not after complaining about some travel complication of some sort. ;)
Anyone else up for spacecake, currywurst, lemon pancake and bonfire action?

As I wouldnt have anything else to do then anway, count me in :)
I'm sure the real reason for Gauss developing the easter date algorithm was that he could predict Breakpoint (and MS)
bought my plane tickets already aswell. 20-25
rc55: Dude, the prize giving is monday...?
repost!
rc55: Going back on sunday before the democompos? Wee, you calender sucks. Breakpoint ends on easter monday...
smooth booking there, chaps ;)
20-26
No, sorry, 21-26 :)
Any hope of moving Sundown to a less depressing part of the UK?
yeah like ehm, anywhere near airports?
(of course i actually meant "anywhere near stansted")
My error, I've actually booked to return on Monday evening. Half a party I am not having, making full use of paying scamp party tax for sure!
Dr. Doom / Battle Droid: I'm sorry the location isn't to your liking, it's just that it's really the only way I can hold the party. Bear in mind there is Exeter Airport and Bristol Airport too, you might find a way to get to the party that way.
Props to ps for fixing my first post blunder. :)
rc55: Well I live in Bristol, so it's not getting to Budleigh Salterton that's the issue. It's Budleigh Salterton that's the issue ;)
have to agree with doomy here.
Keito / Doom: You guys got something against pasties and beach fires? ;)
But really... if I could I /really/ would move the party, and while I can't, I do try and make it the best I can.
I know the location is awkward for some, but the party rocks, and the hall itself kicks ass, not to mention the party atmosphere.

well i can't imagine anyone really has a problem with a party because of the town it's in. also, i asked my friends from the future sound of lohjan asema and they agree!
no problem with the location either, the reason i haven't visited sundown yet is total lack of money (like, 0e on my account after paying bills the last 4 months before the party)
actually parties in smaller towns are always better, it prevents the major bunch of party visitors going to some random hot shot bar (as seen in helsisnki again and again).

its true - this year's sundown had a lovely late night beach visit. couldnt do that in london.
skrebbel, you know what you should do? come over anyway and force someone to pick you up, like truck did. (or hitchhike! yes.) you'll love it!
and yes - 79p flights on ryanair were too good to pass up, so some of us uk sceners already booked our breakpoint trip. hope you dont decide to ban us from the party or anything between now and easter ;)

hahaha! its not like doom to moan about anything is it? get laid dude..
to be honest Sundown is great _because_ of its location, and I dont mind the trip at all. Takes me around 5-6 hrs in car from where I live in the uk to drive, you dont see me complaining. I do agree that it limits the overseas visitors coming over but theres always lifts even from stansted like last year!
as for bkpt, i'll be booking my tickets this week also.. roll on easter!
