It would be nice to see more of the old reports being saved. I think I still have a report of the german TV-magazine "Highscore" (WDR) about the Radwar Party 1990 somewhere.

The NAIDorabilia CD has some TV news clips from NAID'95 and '96. But, since they were in Quebec, most of them are in French. I guess I'll try to upload all the files somewhere when the CDs finally sell out. :)

I doubt American networks will ever carry anything about the demoscene... as far as people over here are concerned, anyone who codes strange things on computers is an evil hacker (terrorist, obviously. Formerly communist)

If you want them to carry anything about it, first you have to give them an event to go to and see it in action (they will never do the research on their own) and second they have to know about the event.

We plan to send out some press releases on Pilgrimage to get the local press to report on our party.

I think I have clippings of an article on demoscene from ST Format magazine from around 1993. Also I have many demo reviews from 'Public Domain' magazine. I'll try to dig them out later.

At least I'm educating people about the fact that the demoscene exists... since all you can do is watch them (somebody should do a modern megademo), they still prefer Unreal Tournament and stuff like that.

Seeing as I'm really far away from Salt Lake City I doubt I'd be able to come... I'm a spectator to the scene, anyway.

Actually, i remember reading in a music magazine about a rave held for c64 music. the djs played c64 game and demo tunes there, and some famous people from the c64 turned up. I seem to remember no women turned up at the club that night :)
