Scrap that last comment, it runs flawlessly - forgot to turn on win95 compat mode. AVI writer still doesn't work though, and can't get it to open under kkapture (too tired to experiment much)
Ok, maybe I was wrong about 3dfx and that was the problem with the Win98 compatibility mode.... If I run it on my card I get the artifacts I showed in the pictures. When I run it with RGB emulation they're NOT there...

I think it doesn't work in kkapture because of the compatibility mode...
Get an nVidia card ;)
The demo runs fast enough realtime these days to be able to capture in something like fraps I think. I don't have a copy of that myself though... are there any similar free apps?

none that I'd know of. The problem with fraps isn't that it's not working. The problem is with the artifacts in the demo and the low speed of my harddrive which makes fraps captures really choppy and low-framerate... :(
rarefluid: i know this is maybe not the best place... flekk by nah-kolor in dosbox says "no MMX detected", is there some settings in dosbox so MMX instructions could be emulated or am i boned? =) what do you think?
DOSBox doesn't have MMX. Have you looked for a patch nula?
