Seriously, I don't see a big database-cluttering-problem in adding ~10 benchmarks if they have a real-time graphical demo-mode (like f.e. 3DMark)... Gosh, pouet even has executable packers online in its database...

Your logic on packers/benchmarks is cute. Those homebrewn tools are related because most have seen active use in development of intros and (sometimes) demos. I'm not really sure how you go about your business, but when was the last time you used a benchmark for demo purposes?
