I've previously said that to make great SID tunes you have to be dutch AND have sold your soul to the devil. Even the danes in the group must be part dutch - at least in spirit.

If TBL created the dutch color scheme then certainly Maniacs of Noice must be credited for creating the dutch sound scheme. In my book at least guys like Jeroen Tel, Edwin van Santen (20cc)(RIP), Reyn Ouwehand, etc. have made some of the absolute best SID music ever.

I wonder if Jeroen can remember the exact date he founded Maniacs of Noice? (or anyone else?)

Hmm, I read an interview with Jeroen Tel (born May 19th, 1972), in which he explains that he founded Maniacs of Noise when he was 14, so that would be 1986-87?
