...on the pouet-startpage is boring, because it's meant to be the top 10 prods ever and it hadn't changed since 10 months.
If it is meant to give a hint which demo is worth to watch (which is far more interesting on the startpage) it should count the thumbs given in the last few weeks.

This is a good idea I thinck. And since scene.org has already some stats about downloading during the current month, it shouldn't be a problem to do a "current top ten" list... Oh I see that VIP2 is fifth in the top downloads this month... Quite incredible for such an old prod isn't it? Anyway, yes this is a good idea.

Also, the top10 has stopped updating again. (the old top glops/prods problem). I guess it's not quite realtime ;P

why does demoo exist?

scene.org, demoo, monostep and two headed squirrels do not count the thumbs on pouet.net.

you can aknowledge what others think its worth leeching from latest releases on those sites and then read the reviews about them on pouet, if you truly enjoy reading such collection of absentminded rants.

Even if it counts the clicks. A table which doesn't change for a loooong time is wasted space. If you want to know which prod is discussed heavily lately you have to check the "latest comments added" permanently.
If you have missed one week it is possible to miss one good thread.

from the above mentioned sites, i'd recommend monostep.org the most, i think that site has prolly the best collection of demos. of course in my opinion only.

What are you talking about? Starstruck entered the top 10 recently and Debris entered last month. It seems that 1995 and Variform could enter very soon as well.

If you are not happy with the top 10, make a demo that will enter it and modify it :)

I love the fact that, unbeknownst to commenters in this thread, the domain name of two headed squirrels had already expired when the first post about it was made.
