Searching for a particular classic...

Hi everybody! Maybe one of you guys can help me on this...
I'm searching for a PC-Demo from the earlier Win era (prob. 98 - 01?) that featured 2-dimensional cutout people in a 3-dimensional city environment. If I recall right, the demo was quite popular back then, even if it didn't work on every configuration - and I think it was a bit unfinished, too.
Got any idea? Help is very appreciated...

That's annoying.. i know exactly the demo but can't remember the name
Older than ix.. and unfinished (i think one of the team died before it was finished)
-Stingray
No, IX was several years later... One of the 2d-peeps stood on a balcony or something like that... but my memory on that is very vague...

Hmm ok :) Can't remember such demo. :)
Hm, no - but the style of the 2d/3d scenes was quite similar to those in chinadoll - only with alot less overlays and noise...
ah. well, it was chinadoll i was thinking of.. can't think of another with cuouts in a city, that was pretty unfinished. Unless i'm remembering chinadoll all wrong.. no pc to watch it on at the moment unfortunately.
codename chinadoll was unfinished and one in the team died? who? what?
Ah yea.. maybe reading the .nfo file will do.
While thinking about it... maybe it weren't cutout but those abstract boy/girl signs you find on toilet doors. You know, these stickmen with a round dot for a head. Sorry for being that vague but I really can't recall more details...

Bingo, Maali!
Yeah, 2nd floor... and my memories have played some trick on me: it is actually "3d-stickman-in-2d-cutout-scenes" :-)
Anyway, thanks a lot for the help, guys! You made my day!
Now I just have to get this one working on my XP-machine... :-)
