Windows costs $$$ and is sold by an evil company. Bill gates got rich by ripping all windows users off. Linux is for geeks - using it means you dont get laid. Also it was hacked together by inexperienced students and unemployed programmers.
I want my PC to play all popular games, watch all popular demos and run all popular software. Windows does that, Linux does not.

i tried ubuntu linux but it "crashes" and some random time.. (the longest was i could run the update manager.. but then it crashed :D)

linux stands for gnu/linux, in most context. so yes, linux "is" an operating system.
