yeah so, anyway, what I just do is stuff like:
fileSys=new CFileSys;
...
CFile *file=fileSys->OpenFile("blah.jpg");
which is read from disk. But if I then write:
fileSys->AddLib("demo.dat"); the demo will first check for 'blah.jpg' in the datafile.

There was a nice COTD on flipcode.com that made it possbile to use io-streams with ziplib, use that or unrarlib ;-)
And for God sake, please use a singleton class rather than ugly standard C for these routines (who needs pure C these days?!)
