They both spin CCW!!

The way to reproduce this btw could be to render an object in black and rotate it around the Y axis like this:

glRotatef (90*sin(time),0,1,0);

On a first sight I always see her spinning CW. For the very first time I was staring on the picture for about 2 minutes to get the "trick". Now I could turn her around by looking only on her legs+shadow for about ~10 seconds and after that, I could turn her back and forth any time.
Yeah, it's a great timewaster! :)

or shit, I only saw it CW for 5 minutes, I did everything to try to see her CCW. I gave up. I went back to the thread later, and now I only see her CCW!! and cannot go back to CW!!!!!!! My 3D imagination is definitively quite limited :(

By concentrating on the direction of the feet, I can make it go CW or CCW by will, but it took me like 10min to get the trick :-) (At first it was all CW).

Nice find!

With Broberick 2 gifs i can make her go CW or CCW as Navis said just concentrate 1 minute on one of the gif (the left one for example) then quickly change to look at the other gif. Do the same trick the with the right one.
It works each time for me CW to CCW and CCW to CW.

It's nice to see a spinning kids icon on a spinning girl thread.

It's nice to see duplicated messages. Not.

Discussions about the spin sign of a naked girl.

That's Pouet.

Let's Pouetize a little more and ask if it's a fermionic or a bosonic girl (i.e. is her spin fractionnal or integer ?)

I need to see more girls to focus on some points to be sure :(

It's not.

Open it in an editor, so you can see that is not the case.
Once upon, me and my brother had a great argument about what way the decapitation in Barbarian on CPC spins. There was a little frame of animation where you couldn't figure out and stuff.

Just so you know.

She spins around and around, getting nowhere in the process.
You spin me right round, baby
Right round like a record, baby
Right round round round
You spin me right round, baby
Right round like a record, baby
Right round round round

I used to see this illusion a lot when doing simple things with wireframes. I never tried it with such a complex object before. The best way to make the rotation appear invertible is to put the object far away (or shrink it) and then zoom in on it, so that parts of the object don't appear to grow as they get closer.

But even when the object is close to the camera, the illusion is possible, but harder, and the result is way more freaky. The whole thing looks like it's rotating and warping too.

In fact, as a kid I used to look out of the window of the school bus, and every so often I'd see a stop sign with two perpendicular street signs attached, and as it passed by the window it would actually look like the whole signpost was rotating and warping on its own.
