help! simple vj software needed
category: general [glöplog]
hi!
i already posted it on some forums, but still didn't get what i need.
i want to do some demoshows with pre rendered demos. so, i need simple software to crossfade 640x480 video files with sound in realtime. can you reccomend me something? i am not experienced in vjing. scratching and overlaing effects are not needed there, just player with ability to add files on the fly and crossfade both sound and video manually. config of my laptop is p1.7,512mb,winxp. advice me something, please.

**VAGUE AND ELUSIVE SHIT**
Meaning you're actually going to try to use captured demos for a VJ session, and you don't know how.
Get off the goddamn internet.
uhm shifter - elfh wants to do DEMOSHOWS, not use demos as vj material. stop being so rude.,
try Virtual DJ too, it can mix video also now.
shifter, what the fuck is your problem today. maybe if you'd tried reading rather than presuming some random spammer right away, you'd have noticed that there wasn't any vague and elusive shit anywhere in elfh's post.
heh, i tried virtual dj. for some reason it freezes for a second, when i add next video. and as i understood, resolume can't play sound from avi files, so most of other vj programms i tried. and yes, i want to do a demoshow, having ability to add next demo in realtime.
if crossfade isn't highly important, why not just make a simple script or something to control a playlistfile which send data to a video player
crossfade is important. i tried to do this with some ambient/drone/noise demos and it was really beautifull.
Videolan is simple.
dip & skreb: pouet is down for only two whole fucking days and your early warning system for trolling has died already?

Mr. Atari has a point there :)
THAT'S IT SHIFTER, THE GLOVES ARE OFF!!1
As for the thread, I have no idea, sorry. Looping X-Mix 2004 might be a good idea though :)

if it wasn't for the burning desire to have crossfading, a media player with a playlist functionality (i.e. about all contemporary media players) would even do.

Do not hesitate any more, there's a reason why VirtualDJ has been adopted by more than 4.000.000 users in the world, making it the most used DJ software on the market.
There are 40000000 wannabe DJs on the world? Have mercy!!1
Yes, 40.000.000 sounds more likely.
God is a DJ!
and a DJ is a loser!
