Hi, do you know if there is any prod with classical music? I'm thinking in doing something... similar to Fantasia/Walt Disney. I would like to take a look of the other prod with classical... if there are any... Thanks

Sorry dipswitch, that's not classical. It's a folk melody.

For the record, I've composed a fair bit of original classical music. Mostly chamber stuff. (Piano and string quartets.) A few performances around the world, but nothing big time. One pianist wanted to record some of my sonatas, but her record label axed the idea because I was an 'unknown.' Fuckers.
Do a few old c64 demos/cracktros with Rob Hubbard's Sanxion intro (which is one of the best renditions of Prokovjev's "Romeo and Juliet" I know :) count?

dipswitch, the link is broken! Could you tell me the name of the song and the autor? With classical, I mean Mozart, Beethoven, Vivaldi, Bach, Tchaikovsky, Stravinsky and that kind of music (but well, not Paul Dukas, who is not exactly a classic IMHO).

Th link works fine. The title of the melody is "Ah, vous dirai-je, Maman" by an unknown person. It's better knows as "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star," but even the former title is most likely not the original as the melody is very very very old.
Didn't "Toys" by Gods rip off some classical music mp3, or was it just some movie-music?

dipswitch, this is not classical music. About Toys by Gods, it is said in the comments that it is the Anastacias by Disney sound track. I'm downloading it to know if it is a classical music song or not. I suppose it is not, but at least, if it is the same style its ok. And, about using classical music, for example, from Mozart, using just the partiture, so you create a .mod or .xm or anthing by yourself, do you think this is ripping or not? For me it is not, since that classics are public domain this way, and it is as an tribute to that songs. Comments?

the music from toys by gods is not classical. And I said anastacia by disney, but the film is not from disney. XD

It's not about ripping. it's about using non-original soundtracks, which means "using a tune not originally composed by anyone in the group".
If, on a hand, it can provide some unusual touch to your prod (hey! I always wanted to be as good as Bach when it comes to composition), on the other hand it's like spoiling your musician of his creative role.

As a musician, I appreciate original tunes a lot more than any legal or illegal ripoff.
Demos with classical music? Well, I am with it, provided you can make _real_ classical music, not lousy demoscene string ensembles.
And beware, in such a prod, direction becomes a _bitch_. Enjoy.

Of course dixan, but always that there is a musician in your group XD.
And about the direction of the prod, this is what I really want to do... and I know it would be very very hard, and recreate the ideas that crossed my mind when I listen to classicals. A hard work of synching too. And even if I work hard, the result may be shit. But, I really want to use classical music in a prod, I love classical music, and I love Fantasia of Walt Disney... and when I see Fantasia I always think it was the first mega-demo xD

Allegro ma non troppo is better than Fantasia.
