I say, now that the good old REAL Andromeda is back in action,should Navis and his most excelent crew step down, and change their name to something else?
When ASD first came up, I was really against their groupname, and hated their prods just because of their name. But as their excellent prods got released one after the other, I got over the whole "you dont bite a legendary group name" thing. Coz, I never imagined that the REAL Andromeda would ever return.
But NOW, when they are BACK should ASD do the only right thing and change their name to something else?
I mean, if you are a up and comming singer/entertainer, you dont call yourself ELVIS.

etc..
They could join forces.

WTF? What kind of post is that...change the name and everything ...demoscene is not entertainment industry making money and the names are not copyrighted. Now it's just a coincidence that someone is using Andromeda but I don't see why that should be an issue and a thread , taking space on pouet.
and while we are at it, the "new" Kefrens who did desert dream should be renamed posthumously since they stole thier name from the "old" kefrens who did the megademos!

There should be a demoscene trademark office that allows you to protect names. Rights should expire a certain time after the last production. And you have to pay money!

As long as they don't rename themselves "Bad Mother Truckers", since i'm trying to convince Doom that that is a better group name than "Satellite", which is a shit group name.
I was always amused by how well the name ASD fits a greek group, because of all the funny conspiracy theories I kept reading in the past about the ancient greek gods who were going to save Greece and are actually aliens from the Andromeda galaxy. Oh,. I also remember the Epsilon team conspiracies and their symbol surprisingly appears as a 3d object in the demos of Helix. Lol!!! But no greek demogroup already called Epsilon team or Olympus or anything else? Actually, a demoparty called Olympus 2008 near Thessaloniki would be fun :)

Why can`t ASD and Andromeda rename their groups so Conspiracy can rename themselves to Andromeda since they fancy the space theme so damn much.
