Dear users,
it is with sad and regret, that we would like to inform you, that as of 1st of July IRCnet will officially terminate providing it services to users across the world.
This was a hard decision we had to make, but unfortunately the concurrence from Instant messaging services saw us loosing our battle and we will leave with dignity and be remembered as the biggest and greatest IRC network of all time.
Once again, thank you for your contribution and long support!

liraluna: sorry to spoil your fantasy but as far as i know efnet means = eris free network, so new network without "eris" server, so ircnet is the original "ircnet" after 96 split
EFnet is for warez dudes, Americans, and Norwegians.
