I have to agree with ps that it's not an ideal date this year.

purely out of interest: what's wrong with the dates? we even asked about preferences here on pouet (and actually we took ps' request back then into account - *i believe*)..

skrebbel: well party is going until monday... and well most of us have to work again monday... that means leaving early on sunday too... when does the compos start then?

Speaking about the compos, is there any significant change to the compos and rules ?

for me its purely univ stuff, this semester i have this class on friday afternoon which i cant miss. plus it coincides with the weekend where i need to present a report. plus a work deadline. so, its not really something a party orga could fix sadly for me im just dragging on too many responsabilities :/ next year i should be free of things and unemployed and i'll go to outline for sure. i hope.

If i'm correct, that monday is a Christian holiday and, at least here in Holland, is a day off.

any random date will be shitty for at least some people... ofcourse it's sad to hear that certain individuals won't be able to make it to our party. however, looking at the number of people who have registered on the site, and the names, i'm quite sure this edition will be another success those who cannot make it: you'll have another chance in 2008, most likely :)

p01: there are no significant changes in the comporules. in fact, there are no changes at all :)

okkie: that was last year :/ this year it's a "normal" weekend...

havoc: k. Try to get some caps with the busy bee. I'd like to re-iterate ( or do better than ) what I did in 2005 so I can join Outline 2oo8 and get a free cap there :p

I'm late at this game, but I have to add that the monday is one hell of a planning disaster. If nobody's off on that monday, who will stay to even see the compos?

shifter, a planning disaster will only occur if we do not adapt the schedule of the party to the schedule of (the majority) of our visitors. in fact, as you may remember, last year we moved the prizegiving from noon on monday to midnight on sunday *for exactly the same reasons that are worrying you now*. considering response so far, chances are the main compo evening will be saturday this year... and i guess the sunday is the logical day for gfx, music and prizegiving.

I'd say you're right, bar for the fact that this time not just a majority of foreigners with a fucked-up travel plan will need that kind of a break -just about ****EVERYBODY**** cannot tack monday -and therefore a late sunday- to their schedule.

The suggestion of putting the demo/intro compos up first seems ...novel :)
