gloom : no i'm not on that.. besides you live in norway not the uk, so why would I comment on norway radio!? I don't know about it. Don't know if you deal with MCPS or PRS there or if its a different body?
it probably does change though, in the sense of same with albums.. major labels give the shops them a lot cheaper to get more sales. say for the first 2 weeks, so it charts higher. So they might take reduced fee's to get it play mored on air, or with the music I'm into .. labels are just glad to get their songs promoted.
someone mentioned kosheen? interesting , thats the bristol crew... one of them (Darren Beale) at one stage was doing HEAPS of music for background or title themes for tv shows.

is there any people from the US that could help I wonder?. in the UK we have OFCOM to deal with misleading adverts or anything misleading/false claims on the radio/tv such as interviews etc, media companies get fined big money for such things or even loose their broadcasting license.
so is there such a body in the US who deals with such things I could contact? (you can see where I'm going with this ;-) )

okkie: I bet there is other beatles tracks you like though ;-) . I don't think its fair to compare it to a fully polished beatles track. they remade that just from studio tapes? not like they could ask John to do a re-take.

old64scener: I don't think we want to get the FCC involved. It's not the broadcasters we have a beef with - they just provided the platform for Timbaland to shoot himself in the foot. Any time they publicise this story (rather than burying it like Timbaland management would like) they're on our side.
gasman ur in the uk like me? so u know about the ofcom thing.. and see programmes where they have to apologise for mis reporting etc ;-)

Oh, YouTube is a funny place btw.. We already know the commenters are complete idiots, but this just takes the cake.. There is a growing trend now, of CHAIN LETTERS in the comment-fields of many, many MANY videos. Something like: "You have to paste this comment FIVE TIMES in all the videos you watch today, or someone you know WILL DIE!" etc... and the stupid, ignorant, inbred, bastard idiots ACTUALLY DO IT! Hahaha, jesus christ that's rich. :)
