actually an internet explorer trick...
- point mouse on toolbar button (back, forward,start, refresh..)
- press right mousebutton and keep it pressed
- press left mousebutton and keep it pressed
- while holding both buttons pressed, move the mouse pointer to the main window
- release both buttons
result --> internet explorer window is locked until focus is switched...

I used to compile a Windows tips column for a computer magazine for a few years. I have hundreds of them stored in a text file, but it's all in Finnish. Many of them are cool and poorly known, but pretty much useless (eg. did you know you can actually select three colors, not just two, at once in MSPaint? Almost better than Photoshop!)

alt + enter in IE adds www.***.com
CTRL+C copys the text in a MessageBox(HWND, LPSTR, LPSTR, int);
