You might want to obfuscate the e-mail addresses of the article authors so that the spambots won't find these.

wow.. is this designed for 800x600? Because it surely looks bad on 1920x1200 with large fonts. You gotta do something about the design for higher resolutiions.

Stelthz: Well, the diskmag is in 1024x768. Since the graphics have been taken from the diskmag, 1024x768 is also the recommended resolution for the online edition.

A solution might be to open a new window with 1024x768 and display Hugi online there. Do you have a better idea?

Anybody who wants their email address to be removed from Hugi 32 online, please tell me and I'll do that.

Wrong! You should obfuscate them by default unless people ask you not to do it.

adok: Yes, do a more flexible design with CSS. Or just dont use fixed size background images.

It's a good approach to release diskmag also in a web readable version. Thumbs up for hugi and suckings to diskmags that are _not_ doing it.

Oh, also please consider to do these things too:
a) obfuscate e-mails by default
b) release older versions as html also
c) release html version at the same time when the next mag is released

I guess we're excluded from the suckings then ;-)

Unfortunately not available anymore, I'll see if The Peric (site admin of overflow) still has a copy of that site.

I'll simply remove all email links from the online edition. If you want to contact the author of an article, you'll have to download the diskmag or look for the email address elsewhere.

By the way, what do you think about the idea of putting all the articles from every demoscene-related diskmag online, on a single dedicated website? With a common indexing system, of course, and perhaps a rating system as well.

I've had this idea for some time. Of course, the site could also collect text from demos (scrolltexts, scenepoetry etc, etc).

viznut: I guess it was Ghandy who started http://diskmag.de/. But _every_ article from every mag looks a bit ... well, unnecessary. At least I and a friend came to that conclusion several years ago.
