The water is fucking ace, the egg not so, but the ending more than makes up for the minor nit

This looks great, I appreciate the "making of" video as well.

for the water/waves, the rest is useless

Awesome water effect! Looking at the code it seems a bit like an oldschool voxel. The "heightmap" is made from combining 16 sinewaves or so. It looks very realistic.

Great stuff with the little plus of the "ship" arriving!

Amazing! The water would have been enough already :-)

Thanks! As for the alien blob, I was thinking if I should go in this direction but then it gave me an idea also for the ending effect. Without it the intro showed everything it had to offer in 30 seconds, which was too short for me. I played with adding a rain but with the "interstellar" palette it didn't look good without making the rain semi-transparent, and for it I had not enough bytes (or the performance impact was too high). Also, I like storytelling in a tiny intro, not focusing only on the technical side of the effect, but that's my personal preference.

Close encouter of the third kind... Good! Really.
It would interesting if the object just emmeged from the ocean/sea at the point it stopped to zoom. But,, perhaps, it would have needed an additional water effect on it... Or not?...
