Fun idea, well executed. I don't always feel these “weird display” demos are that interesting, but this one feels like it manages to work around the oddities pretty well, to the point where you forget the shape of the display.

What an absolute joy of a prod! Everything comes together super nicely, and the patterns and framing of the effects make very good use of the shape of the display. Even the memes part was actually funny; had it been only that, it would have been super lame. Excellent soundtrack as well; overall really really great stuff!

For some reason I feel the exact opposite - the only thing that utilized the shape was the boingball, and the "meme part" was completely unnecessary and screams viralbait (is that a term? if not, it should be)
It's a shame cos the idea is there (and can be done much MUCH better) and the music is great (when it's allowed to be), but there's always a moment in such demos where I get this distinct vision of the authors going "I KNOW THIS IS AWFUL BUT I CAN'T HELP MYSELF", and that's where subtlety goes out the window and you get Nyan cat. Not a parody of Nyan cat, not an allusion to Nyan cat, not a sly underhanded reference to Nyan cat that implies that you believe that the audience is just as smart as you are - just Nyan cat, unaltered, going "STATISTICALLY THIS IS WHAT YOU LIKE PEOPLE, DONT FORGET TO LIKE AND SUBSCRIBE".
It just makes me sad.

What Gargaj said about subtlety and weak utilization of the cruciform. Demoscene self-referentiality, getting stuck in one's own ass. The thing that holds it back.
On the memes thing, I have to dispute the suggestion that they're just being lazily played straight with no attempt at cleverness. Yes, subtlety did go out of the window, but that's kind of the whole point... it's lampshading the notion that demosceners have a solemn duty to systematically port these things to every platform in existence, firstly by setting up a transparently silly pretext ("your prescription is ready...") for shoehorning them in here, and then blitzing through them in 30 seconds to subvert the usual state of affairs (namely, drip-feeding every compo in the next six months with Pharmafarjan, PharmaNICCC 2000 and Pharma Apple, which I think we can all agree would have been truly lame).
Point taken, if you're thoroughly sick of demoscene memes at this point then this isn't going to be any consolation - doing The Thing ironically is still Doing The Thing. But I do think there's a place on the scene for self-indulgent memey things, and that's the kind of demo we collectively set out to make, so no regrets there...

I'm usually outspoken with my distaste for memes that have stayed in the demoscene too long, and had a visceral reaction to seeing them in this demo but honestly, it's still great. It's a jolly prod and full of spirit, with a great soundtrack too.
