Excellent!
Nice work on the Archimedes!
Bit of an Amiga AGA feel with pushing all those polys and doing the bitmap zoomers and rotators.
Great artwork as well.

Very cool!
Yes! \o/ Pretty sure this is the best prod to date on the Archimedes. The deep zoom is really nice and agree with the AGA feels. Lovely work, well done. ❤️
Saw it on the livestream and wished I could have been there in person. Really nice demo, loved the 3D morphing tube effect and it's great to see such lovely graphics on the Archie as well. Thanks!
This totally rocked!
ace ♥
Nice demo
what a belter of a demo
Some really sick effects, gfx, and a great beat, love that it's on the Archie
Really cool, runs fine on my A7000+ but pretty sure it requires way less.
Sophie Wilson would be proud :D
Sooo nice.
Wow !
A sort of an Atari STE ( at best ) demo on a 12 Mhz Archie ( a beast delivering 7.2 MIPS ) , I'm really impressed ! ( nope ).
Save for the tune which really is great, nothing really worth watching here.
( Btw, no greetings given to the author of QTM, although his superfast playroutine is used here, but, hey, c'est la vie, when you're full of yourself ).
The twister effect is the ugliest I've ever seen on the Archie.
To forget this 'car crash' I'm going to watch again the XTreme demo by BASS, on an 8 Mhz Archie, this is really great coding.

Nice work ! Lots of cool parts, especially the kind-of-endless zoom at the end and good music, too :-) Keeping the platform alive :-)
nice
Great work!
Would like to see more from Archie and Risc PC.

lol you utter clown
This is literally the best demo to ever come out on an Acorn platform in my opinion.
Nice! The end zoom is awesome!

Watch the XTreme megademo then.
Not only it runs smoothly on an 8 Mhz Archie ( not the case here, it needs a machine running 50% faster ) but more importantly the XTreme megademo is well coded : there are no display glitches, contrary to this production where you can note graphics glitches, starting with the opening screen.
The XTreme megademo is neat and polished, contrary to this sub Atari STE production.
absolutely fantastic demo!! I love how the colour schema of the graphics and effects all ties up together really nicely. well deserved winner. more please!!
Pretty nice!
Impressive for a unicorn ! 😁

well there's not being particularly impressed by a demo, there's constructive criticism, and then there's... whatever the fuck this is. Honestly, it's just abject rudeness.
Maybe it's not the best thing ever on the platform (i honestly don't know, since i'm not overly familiar with it) but it's still an effort worthy of respect, obviously there's a huge amount of work gone into it. You can't just call everything trash when it isn't literally the best thing you've ever seen.
Very entertaining, love it! <3
This demo is very nice! I hope you will do more on this nice computer :)
Zarchos: if you balls are so big why are you not showing them on a demo instead of just shitting on other people prods?
instead of opening wide your mouth show to the world the power of your code or shut the fuck up.

I don' t see how this can be rated any bad, I see instead evidence of a work of love for the platform.

Behave yourself.
What pathology do you suffer from exactly to believe I owe you anything ?
We're between friends, please tell me, I would really be happy to help you.
Good stuff and special mention for Jade's beautiful pixel art.
Zarchos: everybody can post here with a negative attitude arguing that something is crap and ugly and all. However, if you want to make a valid point, go make something impressive on Acorn to show us how it should actually be done.

oh, says the person who thinks Desire owes them something better than the XTreme megademo :P
Great demo!
And Zarchos reaction is a prime example why the Archimedes gets no respect.

Thanks for admitting this prod is no better than what we had, and that run smoothly on an Archie running 33.33 % slower :-)
Btw it's a great idea to compete at Nova, where the overall quality of productions is poor : you just need to produce sthing a bit less shitty than the majority to be 1st.

Your problem is that you don't know it all started on the Stardot discord, where Sarah proved who she really is.
She's full of herself, and stab other people and their productions in the back.
Why don't you join and search for my name, for example ?
You'll see how quickly you'll change your mind.
https://discord.com/invite/pRy44Wz
Sarah is the kind of person who smiles at you at a show, and spits on you on your back on the Net.
How brave.
I let you react enough to my initial post to bring you where I wanted : go check on the Stardot discord. Do your homework. You'll understand how wicked she is, and she's not alone. You're defending the wrong person.
Finally took time for this masterpiece.. No idea what this platform can handle but it looks very cool! Greetings!
XTreme megademo might have faster code but it seriously lacks in design plus has ripped tunes etc.
Like this one anyway, cool tune!

Well i don't know if it is or not, since i've never seen it, maybe post a link to video and i will watch? anyway it's irrelevant to the point.

ok NOW who is showing who they really are. there was really no call for this, was there.

nvm i found it. well, what Serpent said. i'm not exactly blown away tbh. it has some impressive bits in it, but the overall production is a mess, and most of it i actually found quite dull. some effects i've seen on an Amiga 500. plus contrary to what you say, it does NOT run smoothly all the way through even though the video was captured from a 26MHz archie! and i also noticed a few glitches here and there. not a bad demo for its day perhaps (1995) but i'm not convinced.

keep your personal beef off of here.
Nice prod! Tune is great and I'm weak to infinite zooms :D
The graphics are worth the price of admission alone, really.

As I said it runs smoothly even on an 8 Mhz Archie.
Oh, but, hey, wait !
You want to talk 'Archimedes' and you don't even know this demo ?
You don't even own an 8 Mhz Archie ?
You can't even run an emulator, again, to check by youself ?
Who am I talking to exactly, Sir, who thinks he can lecture me, if he's such an ignorant of just ... everything Archimedes related ?
Watch this and read the decription section, this will teach you.
This way, next time, you'll listen 1st to the grown-ups before opening your big mouth to try to lecture me.

Okay so let me repeat it too, just for emphasis and warning: keep your personal spat and start acting like a civilized human.
Really good!
Great
don't know anything about the platform but I saw a full of cool graphics, especially the infinite zooms. also the music executes well
Good
OK.
Nice production.
Really enjoyed this. Proper megademo with a nice flow, great effects and a top soundtrack. Double thumbs!
Awesome prod, I like your dedication to Archimedes, keep them coming :)
for the drama, gfx and infinite zoomer
Nice demo and it made me look up the specs of this computer!
The zoom effect was also great.
to Zarchos: I feel your pain, find yourself a mirror and get well soon.

Great demo! Soundtrack too.
cool
Interesting to see/watch this demo. Do not know the Acorn tech spec, a part that's quite similar to the Amiga visial-wise and music-wise.
Some very nice gfx here (I like the lady with the glasses).
Not bad "Da Za I Ya" kata. Gouraud I presume.
Nice Amiga-looking wire-vector city.
Impressive (at least to me) phong(?) ev-mapped(?) "lady with the glasses" vector part, clever and nice-looking zoom end-part, althou it looked kinda "clumsy" while zooming.
Very original 3D-model (japan cartoon inspired?) vector face and its transitions.
Metaballs interacting with the logo is a nice-looking idea!
Good music as well (but not the best synth tune).
Would like to se some glenz vectors here. That would make this demo (almost) perfect (to me;)
Great demo for the relatively unknown yet very powerfull machine.
ARM... it was sooo exotic back-then and now - simply in your pocket.
Greetingz!

This is stunning! Loved it! Congrats to the team!
Nice one!
Great prod - and one person in this thread is trying to make it a shit-show. Just ignore.
This demo is really good. Lots of great effects with a really enjoyable tune.
I'm not sure why there has been so much negative comments made about this demo.
Regardless, well done to the coders, artists and musicians involved. really slick production.
Go Acorn!

Negative comments and drama from one person only.
So happy for Sarah she is 1st !
Last time she didn't make it, with 'Reach', she had a tantrum, remember ?
As she won, at last, she'll save the visit to the shrink this time, that's really good news.
Are the glitches in the initial zoom part of the demo normal ?
What's the goal of the hideous twister effect, with its even more hideous fonts ? I don't get it ...
Is it final version, how is that possible ?
Why are the graphics so globally hideous ?
The Archie has 256 colour modes and here it looks like there are not even 8 on screen ?
Is it on purpose, because 'steam punk' must mean 'ugly' ?
I really, really, don't get it.
Fortunately the tune is really great, and it more or less saves the day.
Poor Archie ...
This 'car crash' prod needs a 12 Mhz machine, and even with more than 7 MIPS available there are some slowdowns ...
Atari coders do much better on an Atari STE with its 8 Mhz 68000.

zarchos: the world now knows you hate sarah and her demo very very very much, you can move along now.
thumb up for a nice little demo for the platform it's on. discord sounds on the capture was the thing that annoyed me the most about watching it really. sneaky way to tell people to watch it on real hardware.

Nice demo with quite a lot of effects!
Excellent demo!
cool!
good
really awesome
Awesome demo for a machine I actually haven't heard of!
Very nice demo, Archie needs more quality prods like this!
Cute acorn demo, just saw it for the first time on the Birdie 33(2023) twitch stream today
Cool demo. I'm looking forward for your new Archimedes prods.
Stunning! Love the image zoomer at the end!
Excellent!
