All your framebuffer are belong to us. Even the Teletext framebuffer. :-) Great idea.

@losso do you think the amiga could produce teletext as well? Afaik it is a signal encoded in a range of scanlines below the range of visible scanlines. I was thinking of generating some overlays or maybe comments on how the effects work with this method :)
That was pretty fun as a demo, there is a lot of funny content and many effects.
great
Great idea. Lots of good humor.
Truly amazing!
Tele tech comedy =]
Nice idea!
Ahhh, this is very cool, well done! I never thought I’d see a true Teletext demo, outside of our BBC Micro prods (which contains a SAA5050 Teletext chip). Great work, really enjoyed it. Would love to hear more about how you’re generating the frames. 😃
Entertaining, enjoyable, well done.
A real pleasure watching this.
That ... was a history lesson I wasn't prepared for :D

great stuff!
Excellent pace, very entertaining and humorous without being cheesy or daft. Well-deserved rank.
Tour de force! Everything where it was supposed to be, impeccable!
Truly awesome!
Nothing else but a thumb up.
freaking awesome presentation
why is the refresh so much faster then IRL? on wikipedia it sounds like the broadcaster chooses the speed.
you should make a making of :D

Fun ride, good to see Kotlin used too.

Outstanding prod! Teletext was never a huge thing in my country, but this sent me on a little knowledge quest- apparently they'd kept it going from 1982 until 2014 and I never even knew...
Loved the low-res art and the funny history lesson. Excellent soundtrack too!

Very cool idea and execution. Also thanx for the writeup!
One banger after the other. I´m a AttentionWhore fan!
A very nicely implemented little Teletext demo, best on the platform! I kinda disregarded it first, thinking it uses some kind of a video speed up to provide the page update rate quick enough, until I realized it really runs on the legit HW. Pity it does not getting enough attention here, I was sure it would jump into the top of the month right next to the 5150.
This is delightful.

I work at a company that used to sell teletext systems to broadcasters. We actually still have a few customers who are still running their legacy systems. So teletext is still a thing in some places, such as certain German broadcasters.
Anyway, this demo is very cool, and exploits the relatively high refresh rate of a page that certain TVs support (mostly older ones with 'real' teletext controllers, as opposed to the modern digital ones), and turns it into an effective framebuffer device.
Awesome idea... have to check if it's possible in the lower border of my C64 ;)
IIRC Doom/IRIS looked into generating teletext pages from an Amigaaaah many years ago but concluded it wasn't possible. But I'd love for him to be proved wrong.
losso always delivers!
cozy. also, big fan of dinosaur burger.
tele!
