Once upon a time, there was the Aquatic and it having a same idea (or let's say flow) but on poor 8bit computer with blocky graphics. That is even more impressive and you did it very well.

Watching this cool demo again, I am now wondering how the dual layer rotozoom is made? It seems both layers are rotating at same angular speed, is this part of the magic? Maybe french realtime (precalcs for those outside the Atari scene)?
@baah - no precalcs :) the two layers are completely independent "classic" rotozoomers which could do anything, but it made more sense here to share the rotation wave to give a parallax effect.
In short, the magic is in the drawcode. ;) I won't give too much away because that spoils the fun, but the organisation of the layers (and draw routine) exploit the ST's interleaved planar display...

Raaah ST coders are really inventive, i'am impressed by the 2 layers rotozoomer .

This was wonderful for me. A huge nostalgic indulgence, but suffiently moden to keep me engaged. A proper demo that pushed the limits of the st without breaking a sweat.

Nice winner demo of Sommarhack 2022, with nice sea pixels and code and music, actually did miss this until now when i am watching the VOD of evl testing the stream for this years Sommarhack 2023
