Released at last! A prospective texturing galore. My knowledge of Atari hardware is limited, but this feels like it might do for Atari XL/XE scene what Dawnfall did for C64. Very impressive and very inspirational.

The party version felt a little incomplete and the ending was not fully satisfying. I am really looking forward to watching this, post-party, version.

Great stuff guys... :)

Ooz again at is best, String... great music...

some fx seem not to "fit" like the rotating bars and the rotating texture bars... but all well executed...

my personal faves are the 3d object mirrowing in the skyscraper, all parallax stuff esp. the last one... ;) and of course the loading time... :D

wow, a lot of scene's I have no idea how the a8 can pump out (colorful cubes over gfx), and a lot of jawdropper effects, all with nice design, a lot of creative tought went into this.

It's not a 8-bit demo!

The blaming part on this demo is that there is only one thumb up available ;)

Sharp and tasty! (Was the awesome textured thing in the mid-part in the party version, as I don't remember seeing it there?)

Great work, guys. Love that parallax City Skyline and that rainbow colour bars

The compo actually had 2 first places for me. This is one of them. pr0be - master of the cubes combined with Ooz' design and the fast and upcheering tune. All put together in a very good pace. I only wish the last cube scene would be longer, it's just great. Well, and I miss the swan, I really liked it ;-)

In love with this one. City scene, cubes, mirroring in skyscraper, these damn fantastic gfx, underground part made me love A8 scene so much. Music is also nice and the show is well synced. Would have been a worthy winner as well.

No texture mapping here, ofc. Thumb for spike object and city gfx :) Effect-wise, if you can do these familiar effects you can also twist them or make new effects, f.ex. the pillar ring I guess.
rulez added on the 2016-03-27 03:35:07 by Photon Photon
Very moody with an excellent design. A little too bit repetitive, imo, but with great atmosphere, great gfx together with a very good music. Very colorful as well taking into consideration it is Atari 8bit machine.

@Photon, yes, I knew how it is done, but the phrase "texture mapping" came to my mind at the time, so I called it incorrectly. The reference to Dawnfall is my proof :)

Lovely demo, re-watched it with great pleasure.

The floor mappers used in the sky and subway are really smooth!
I like the whole 3d cubes through scenes concept.
