some of the middle segments with the dust and (pseudo) volumetric lighting are very neat, in particular the mostly static shot of the broken down building looking up from an alley of some sort
kinda falls into the trap of making everything feel like a miniature by using a way too wide field of view and having the camera move way too fast, spoils the impression a bit, but not in a way that takes away from the prod in a significant way

The intro I enjoyed the most during the (awesome) compo.
The laser reminded me of Raised by wolves which is a good thing.
Also, the Twitch thing makes this prod even more memorable.

I really forgot, i am watching a 64kb production.
Legends claim that the laser shooting deer destroyed twitch in a blink ... but these are just legends right? ... right?
I looked up cervidae from the compo slide and was like… “deer?” I was not disappointed.
Crushed by the t*tch banhammer! Shown again 30 minutes later and still great!

If you pronounce it using the accent used in great part of Latin-America it sounds like "El siervo de Dios" (God's servant").
I don't know if that's on purpose but I like it.

the whole lasers and destruction thing looked good and was well handled, that's not easy to pull off!
but the city itself, particularly in the earlier scenes, looked a bit too cheap. cubes for buildings, squares for windows, dodgy specular.

Basically what everyone else said. And in hindsight the whole Twitch incident is really pushing this in the realm of legends :)
One thing though bugged me a bit: in the larger views you don't see much melting and all of a sudden the whole city disappears within a moment.
Nevertheless my favourite of the compo by a lot and well amongst my party favourites in total.

My favourite from revision 2021. Borrowing from conspiracy, but spices it up with a fux0ring deer with laserbeams! Love the bladerunnerfeels too. YUMMIEEEEEEEEEE!

I've been a fan of Laibach for almost two decades, and it completely desensitized me to any random deer shenanigans, so the intro left me a bit cold. But I appreciate the production values.

- too much compression on the kick, and a snare feels flimsy. fixing that would improve the whole thing a lot for me.
- the ending: looks like it's making a statement with that abstract shape but obviously doesn't (or it's way obscure). I would easily imagine a cervidae head for example.

Great concept, well executed
This is, on most accounts, massive. It's also one of the most "demoscenish" productions I've ever seen: partially garish, partially awesome, partially corny, technically excellent and true to the form. Screw the high concepts - we've got a laser deer.

Hate to say this but it's my area so I can't help but think the music was the weakest part - understandable if the musician is new to using a brand new synth and all, but just the production of it sounded very 4k rather than 64k, with some of the stuff just being thrown in because "oh I didn't know this effect was there" (I'm looking at you, bitcrush)
Visually it's both massive and yet a bit of a mixed bag, some of the content is great, other parts are too obviously procedural, like the city flythrough shot at the start - it did give me vibes from the Cauldron levels in Horizon Zero Dawn, but i think a side-by-side comparison would reveal what the problems in lighting were for example.
And then it just devolves in a fractal show, which I think is a bit of a shame - but then the final shot is right on the money again.
So it's a mixed bag, but it's overall a huge effort and I'm excited to see what comes next.

Pretty cool overall, and having a "story" of sorts is always a huge plus with me. What really took it home for me though was the execution of the lasers cutting through those buildings - completely sold the concept.

what gargaj said, also the aliasing was a bit strong. I really dig the giant deer god though and I have no idea why :D Also using a longer lens would help with making some of these shot look more massive.
