Quick question - can the HD version run from floppy, as long as you have enough RAM?
I've got an STe with 4MB, but just floppy drive and no way to write .MSA to real disks, so if I can just copy the .TOS file to a normal 720kb disk and run it from there, I will dig out my computer and hook it up! :)

Sdw: Yes the harddrive version will work from floppy if you got over a meg.

So, dug out the ST, hooked up my USB-3.5" drivetom my PC and after some searching found a DSDD disk that worked so I could copy and watch on real HW.
Well worth it, excellent demo with some hardcore effects, lots of overscan and many impressive chunky effects - last rotozoomer was so smooth and nice.
I am not really knowledgable enough about ST hardware tricks - is every routine C2P:ing every single pixel displayed, or is it possible to do some hardware trickery to stretch lines in Y for example?

@Sdw: There are 3 c2p effects, the textmap, c2p moire and the plasma. The other effects, like tunnel and rotozoom are true colour effects. For the c2p effects, the scanlines are doubled by cpu, by copying the data. There is no trick on ST to stretch the lines.

Great show with amazing pace, sync, groove and dynamics. Impressive amount of smooth effects (only very few with a slight recycle touch), theme related graphics and colors, quite a cognitive overload! Probably the most STE-ish ST demo so far! ;) Btw, this one looks much better on the real hardware: so smooth in many parts.
